Nancy Jane Miller

NANCY JANE MILLER OCTOBER 18, 1948-NOVEMBER 15, 2014 Nancy Jane Miller, age 66 of Menahga, MN, born October 18, 1948, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga, with her loved ones by her side. She was an inspiration for her family members and many people who loved her and knew her well. If you ever told Nancy she could not do something, she would prove you wrong, over and over and over again. The deck was stacked against her most of her life. Tough first marriage, struggling for independence, working jobs that did not reward her, and more. She met her lifelong soul mate Don Miller. They married and together they made their way through life as a team. Nancy and Don lived independently for many years until Nancy's health was failing to a point where she needed to be in the comfort of a nursing home at Green Pine Acres, Menahga, MN. Although their independence was compromised, it was great to have her so close to family. Moving to Minnesota from the Quad Cities, IA her family has been able to visit her frequently and spend a great deal of time with her. Nancy is no longer in pain, and her suffering has ended as she was called home by her lord and is in heaven with her mother, Ellen "Jane" Olmstead. Nancy is survived by her husband Don Miller, of Menahga, MN; her father Ray G. "Jack" Olmstead, of Park Rapids, MN; her sisters Susan Harmon (Rev Dr. Tom Harmon); Sandra Perez (Dr. Mike Perez); her niece Deb Pfaff (Tony Pfaff), her nephews Mark Harmon (Kim Harmon), Brian Perez (Rosie Perez) and Anthony Perez and extended family. To know Nancy was a blessing. Those that knew her would say that they were touched by her life and proud to know her. The family asks for prayers for her husband Don as he will begin his journey learning to live his life again without his soul mate by his side. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Assembly of God Church in Menahga, MN. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Thursday, Nov 20, 2014 at the Cardini-Pearson Funeral Home in Menahga and again one hour prior to the service at the church.
